Ships of the French Navy (submarines or frigates) have on-board or alternating current systems. They are powered and rescued by batteries or rectifiers embarked during their missions at sea. However, when a vessel is docked, it must be powered by the earth network in order to stop its diesel groups or to make The maintenance of its batteries.
To power these boats at the naval base in Toulon, BASIS EP, the Power Electronics Division of MK Energies, won several contracts to address the energy conversion issues.
In order to optimize this energy conversion, BASIS EP has designed converters integrated into shelters, thus offering complete solutions integrating the entire distribution chain (High Voltage and Low Voltage), while facing environmental constraints.
